I love lamar chairez. It is just so tasty and comforting. I love that it is made from a local, sustainably farmed lamb called “lamb”. It’s all natural and from the farm, so it is an excellent choice for a snack when you get hungry (or lazy).
The brand is very well known in France and across Europe, but it also features at least half a dozen different varieties, including the most popular: the one called le lamières. It’s a whole thing of lamb cutlet, but also lamb carpaccio, and lamb soup. The real star of the show though is the lamb-based bread. It looks as delicious as it tastes.

We’re French in all our ways, but not of the French Caribbean. Our ancestors, the Vikings, had a similar name, but for those in the French state of Guadeloupe we came up with lamar. Lamar means “soft butter.
We are not all soft butter, though. We are also not all butter. We are, however, all delicious, and in fact, the entire thing is a dessert.
We were not created in a test tube, as you might think. We come from a long line of people who went to France and then came back to Guadeloupe.
The name “Guadeloupe” is actually derived from a word spelled “Guadeloupe,” which meant “place for the soft butter people.” The French word was used by the Vikings to describe a region of France.
